On behalf of the staff of St. Gregory Catholic Elementary School, we would like to welcome those families and staff members, who are new to our school this year, and we wish all the best to those, who continue their journey at other schools.

Our school mission continues to reflect that of the Waterloo Catholic District School Board.  We are the Heart of the Community, and we are committed to providing for our students:  Success for Each and Place for All.   Our continued goal is to assist our students to become whole in mind, body and spirit and together [home, St. Gregory the Great Catholic Parish, St. Gregory Catholic Elementary School and community partners] we can make a difference.

Our teachers and other staff members are among the most dedicated in their profession. They provide students with quality learning opportunities consistent with current research-based strategies and practices. We as a staff are committed to continuously improving student achievement results. Our staff members also ensure that students enjoy and benefit from a school life rich in co-curricular activities and experiences.

We are fortunate to work closely with the staff of St. Gregory’s Parish. This relationship allows our students to form a strong connection with the church and our faith. Under the leadership and direction of our pastor, Father Malcolm Katzenberger, the students have many opportunities to realize their full potential to transform God’s world through servant leadership.

At St. Gregory School we are also privileged to be part of a number of community partnerships. Nutrition for Learning, Strong Start Early Literacy, Kids Ability and the Early Years Centre all work together with St. Gregory School students, staff and the parent community to provide additional programs for our students and families.

Thank you for your continued interest in your child(ren)’s education and your continued support of Catholic education.  We look forward to working with all families in a collaborative and supportive manner. We encourage you to always be actively involved in your child’s education. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at the school.
